Dude I watched that play. It's ridiculous. That hit was clean last year.

Yep. As of this year you aren't allowed to come down with your full weight on the QB. You have to roll off to the side of them as you come down. Against bigger QB's this is going to really suck. I expect a lot more missed sacks as a result.

You can't just sack 'em, you have to sack 'em properly...

Yes, we were killed by the pass but our run defense was still bad. Look at the average per play by their RB. Look at our LBs not making tackles or doing it well down the field. Same as the last couple years.

Kind of puzzling on Craig. He couldn't have played any worse than Klein or Anzalone today.

Side note - I think as Demario Davis plays more, he'll get better. He did make a few plays today. As many posters have already stated, it makes very little sense to sign a guy, then move him from the position they were successful at. That's on our coaches.

See, don't get the apologist effort for Davis as he was compensated heavily to be our MIKE, couldn't do that; moved to WILL, can't do that either...

On the other hand, Robertson and Stupar looked great from the day they showed up; heck, even Te'o had some great play in his first season...

Maybe we need to borrow a page from the Patriots and quit worrying about the best athletes, but the best football players...

Maybe a half step slower, SPARQ scores less than ideal, heck, just go back and watch Tom Brady's 40 yard combine run...

But those Patriot players are smart, disciplined, and do their job - oh, and they win Championships...

Our defense, heck, our team lacks a healthy balance between athletes and football players...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
