Re: Offseason needs
Add 2 safeties to the list, cause Marcus Williams ain’t no Ed Reed. Sorry.
And a brick to keep Payton’s foot on the dang gas. Killer instinct? Where’d it go the last 4-5 games of the season? Never was able to regain the scoring, and it wasn’t because of Ted Ginn Jr. Dallas exposed us for whatever reason and we never recovered. |

Re: Offseason needs
I don’t know but this dude is NEVER around the ball on a deep pass.
May not be his fault for all these Ed Reed comparisons during training camp, but he’s consistently coming in from 20 yards out just to get in on the play. More receivers have dropped passes due to open field than by marcus williams |

I don't know but of 2 NFL safeties in the league who can cover BOTH sides in today's game, especially the way a lot of QB's can move away with one look, then throw to the other side. From my untrained eye, I see a player who is being used as a "last resort" and to not get beat deep with a TD rather than becoming the Ed Reed, ball hawking safety which his skill set was as described by analyst and scouts leading up to the draft. I'm not down on Marcus just yet. I think he improves in year 3. |

Re: Offseason needs
Do we re sign Ingram is the big question. I feel we will let him walk.

Re: Offseason needs
I don’t. I think he’s too important in the locker room and too good a compliment to Kamara. He knows his role as part of a duo and will probably be ok with a contract that reflects that.

Re: Offseason needs
Let's look at how much these players will make next year and if they are worth the price tag:
Cameron Meredith: 6.4m (1 yr left) - 2.75 m in dead money if cut. Prediction: Keep him due to need for WR help. Alex Okafor: 4.8m (1 yr left) -750k in dead money if cut. Prediction: Cut AJ Klein - 6m (1 yr left) - 2m in dead money if cut. Prediction: Cut Kurt Coleman: 7m (2 yrs left on deal) - 3m in dead money if cut Prediction: He was very average this year but since he has 2 years left we probably keep him Thoughts? |

Jonathan Williams Boston Scott Shane Vareen Terrance West Mike Gillislee ![]() If for some reason Mark does walk, better have a solid Plan B to compliment AK in the run department. |
