Simmie Cobbs vs Emmanuel Butler for that last WR spot is going to be a fun one to track.

Great things being said about my darkhorse Simmie Cobbs.

A roster spot could be his if he keeps up the intensity.

He'll either develop on the practice squad in NO, cut or land on another team.

If you have access to uploading the long TD run by Latavius Murray today, feel free to upload.

Nope I would love to see his first solid in two weeks. Apparently Washington had a nice one too.

If Butler can get back on the field. I’m excited about him.

The tackling is pretty lackadaisical but Murray did make some nice cuts to find the hole and get away from Malcom Brown.

Appreciate it XVI :bng:. In a real game, "arm tackling" will be a no no against this guy. He's too big for that. Nice cut and burst.

On another note, Brees and M Thomas were on fire today. Looks like they are already in mid season form.

That cut and burst has been what Payton been saying he likes so much about Murray. He's never had the opportunity to play behind an offensive line this good and an offense so balanced.

As I said in another thread, it wouldn’t surprise me if they just let him break that run as fan service.

I still want another WR. Michael Crabtree to be specific.

Matthews is a possession receiver with no over-the-top speed; don't like Crabtree, takes plays off when he's not primary showing a tell to good safeties...

I'm willing to bet on Cyril Grayson if he continues this current rate of progression...

No one in our secondary, which is pretty freaking outstanding now, was able to catch Grayson when he's been sent deep since OTAs...

Well Matthews is a guy I like + he's a low risk, high reward. He's a proven vet who has the skill set the Saints were missing in 2018. Let's be honest here, after Michael Thomas the WR is an open competition.

I will not be surprised if Rishard not only makes the team, but earns a role in Sean Payton's offense.

Yeah there hasn’t really been any talk about him. Apparently he retired last season? He must’ve changed his mind and we gave him a shot.

If it hasn't already been obvious, I'm a Dan Arnold Fan; he was my Camp Surprise last year; and I want him to get the chance to redeem himself from the NFCCG, even if he was mauled in coverage...

Former Second Round Pick who was stuck in Indy in a round peg, square hole situation...

Got frustrated and quit football; agent, Saints talked him into signing here...

Would love Cyril Grayson to earn it. Have a 2nd deep threat and a real burner returning kicks.

Yes sir, keeping Brees upright. That’s your ticket to the big show Ozigbo.

Re: And so it begins...

It would really help when it comes to resigning all these good players if Saquon Hampton can develop into a starting FS. We could trade Marcus Williams next year and only have a $600k cap hit.

I have no issue with Marcus Williams, but we can’t keep everybody.

Hampton looks like he'll be making this roster. I love our secondary & its depth. If the DLine plays to their potential this secondary will gobble up INTs.

It looks like Tre'Quan is having a decent camp, he seems to be making more of the contested catches.
