I mean I get it on paying people. But then again I just don’t. We were stumped for years because of Drew’s contracts. Now he’s under payed if u ask me. There giving gaszillions to rbs , WRs and D line players. Matty ice , whooleeoo . I want to see Cleveland do magic with there 53 first rd picks .
A good CPA in the house to finagle some numbers and whaala. Back load this front load that one . Drag it out for years it . It used to be u cannot mortgage the future with paying that much. Well kiss my asre .

While I'll agree, he's slotted as a nickle corner this season, however It wouldn't surprise me to see Gardner Johnson transition to free safety.

He has range.

It will be interesting to see what develops with Marcus Williams after year 4.

One more whiff and he’s going to be ridiculed forever, dam he had the chance to take some ribs out on deshaun Watson at the goal line . He’s going to land on injured reserve if he don’t pick that damn head up to see what he’s doing.

I kinda feel bad for Flores.

Coaches and players are never trying to tank. They want to win as badly as the fans do.

This is on management who is pulling an elaborate tank job right before everyone's eyes. Tanking happens when management intentionally strips the team of talent, trading away all your good players and then making no attempts to sign any decent players at all.

Flores will probably be fired after this is over or next year, but he didn't sign up for this.

If we found a way to afford Marcus Williams with other guys to extend, I suspect Saints FO won't be able to afford Vonn Bell...

As Chris stated, Gardner plays the slot, and he's been playing some strong safety as well; and as Major said, he can play Free Safety...

Minkah is a great player and I'd loved to have acquired him in the offseason, even before the draft, but the costs of a first round pick, and a fourth?

And then having to get this unit to gel in-season, learning to hand-off coverage to one another, that just seems like a lot to do - in-season...

It's like when one of these chefs is trying to salvage a f*ck-up and restarts an entree on Gordon Ramsey MasterChefs - they end up in catastrophic failure and look like an idiot sandwich...

Wait and see if there's an injury before the trade deadline. Then, I would have no misgivings about parting with the first rounder for the need. Otherwise. roll with what you've got.

We can't afford him but if we could he help a lot defending those critical passing downs.

Those three safety sets would be marvelous with Fitzpatrick in New Orleans. Maybe even a Nickel 3-3-5 with Marcus Williams and Gardner-Johnson back at FS and SS, Fitzpatrick at the nickel, and Von Bell lined up next to Demario Davis at LB. Elaborate blitzes galore.

Re: Minkah Fitzpatrick

That’s a problem with today’s NFL. These rookie players all feel like they are entitled to playing for a contender. Nobody wants to sit on a team for 2-3 years while a team rebuilds. I don’t like the thought of what it would be like if players start deciding when and where they are going to play.
If players had this same attitude in 06 we wouldn’t be where we are.
Millennials suck and are *****s
