If players had this same attitude in 06 we wouldn’t be where we are.

But it’s the Dolphins organization choosing to trade away assets.

It's more that "multiple players have requested trades" though.

Imagine if 2007 and 2008 rolled around where we dont meet expectations and players like Colston, Bush, Jahri Evan's started requesting trades.

I'd say pass, the fact that Fitzpatrick has requested a trade so early means he will give up at the first sign of adversity. That's what it looks like to me anyway.

Kiko Alonzo requested a trade from Miami just 2 weeks ago.

Now he's a Saint. Not buying that theory on players giving up at adversity.

Yep, and look, some players love the game and aren't down with playing for a team seeking to rebuild...

Minkah went to 'Bama, where they've got their sh*t in order. If he's gonna play, he wants teams to have their act together...

Dan Fouts during the Patriots @ Dolphins game pointed out on a screen shot of Dan Marino and his 58th birthday yesterday mentioned Miami has had twenty (20) quarterbacks since Marino retired in 2000...

That's one new starting quarterback per season!

My point exactly. I don’t want players pissing and moaning because they wanna play with Labron. Then you have Lebron demanding they bring in the players HE wants. I don’t follow the NBA at all and have no intention to.

Poor comparison. LeBron was a free agent that year.... And all the money raised in that event went to charity.

People threw a fit cause they treat players like they owe a team something. He didn't owe Cleveland anything. Those fans burning his jerseys should've been angry at the management who did everything to squander those years as he was reaching his prime. It's fair to blame him for a lot of the problems with Cleveland after he came back cause he was running the show, but those early Cavs rosters were not constructed with his output and pals involved.

Not everyone wants to be Larry Fitzgerald and stay loyal to a team with horrible management. Fitz could've joined us, Denver, or New England and caught passes from a Hall of Famer and possibly won a ring. I don't feel sorry for guys like that who stick around and waste their careers on crappy teams just to stay loyal to a team they make all the sacrifices for. John Elway was smart to avoid going to Indy after they drafted him...

Why would you be against people deciding where they want to live and work?

Rez, you make a valid point about that that we forget their human too; but fans, however meager it is to billionaire owners and millionaire athletes, do invest their time and little money in teams and players, too.

As irrational as it is, the hurt is real when your team is spurned, your values disrespected by a player(s). Yes, they're people too, often young, self-absorbed, enabled, and flawed...

But you don't get a complete pass as an athlete when you're willing to take the money and the spotlight for fame, they too have to make sacrifices to their loyal customer base...

How many here wouldn't change a spare tire and offer a meal inside their home for one of our Saints here? Hell, look at how many folks go out to MSY and welcome the team back - after a big loss!!!

Well, if you want the public adoration, fame, as well as the coin those people give to make those contracts possible - players too need to to sacrifice, respect those good folks who support their NFL Life...
