Didn't see it. Had to check out for a while with 29.5 inches of rain in 90 minutes but you are correct and I firmly apologize. Still, I want someone to justify pulling Bridgewater if he becomes more than the "game manager" and wins out.

Can it be justified. I don't think it can other than using historical data. Did anyone believe Kamara was more valuable than AP when they were in training camp. I don't recall anyone ever making that claim.

If Payton leaves him in would you hate the call.

It's all good; proves great minds think alike.

If Teddy holds the fort down and has the Saints winning, I doubt SP immediately goes back to Brees full-time.

I think you have to leave him in. Hurts me to say it but I don't like trying to fix something that is not broken. Last night he was damn accurate and is only going to improve. Man was in the zone.

I don't see Payton though rolling with him even if he turns into pure gold. Too much loyalty with Brees.

Accurate? Several of his passes were way over thrown. You don’t leave a HOF qb on the bench unless it’s obvious he just doesn’t have it anymore which isn’t even close to the case when it comes to Drew. Teddy had a decent game but over time defenses are going to figure him out and test his limits.
He did what backup QBs are supposed to do. Our offensive success came at the hands of Kamara not Teddy.
He’s not our next Qb.

You do know how Brady got his start?

That was my only point. It should be a gradual thing. If he is killing it (I don't think that will happen) you can't just yank him. It has to be a soft pull. Maybe insert Brees at the end of a half, let him start the 3rd and see how it goes.

AP was slowly losing touches to Kamara. It was a slow progression that took weeks. It was the right thing to do. It probably saved much grief because AP would have been off the rails immediately. He still went off the rails but by that time he was traded and that was that.

Wow I can't believe all the hype after one game. Pay attention... he is exactly who he was. Game manager stay out of to much trouble and he wins. What I think Sean likes about him is that he is an accurate passer... His career numbers play that out.

This much is a true. The year he went down with that horrible knee injury he was looking like he might take that next step into being an elite QB. I drafted him in my fantasy league and was keeping close tabs. He looked amazing. He probably needs more time than our fan base is willing to give him.

Re: Serious Question on Bridgewater

Some Perspective:

Teddy Bridgewater @ Seattle: PA 27, PC 19, 177 PaYd, 2 PaTd

Longest Pass Play: -1PaYd Att Screen Pass to Alvin Kamara who navigated 29 yards behind Ramczyk to the End Zone...

That's 9.32 yards per completion, including YAC; until Bridgewater had connected on that screen, he'd attempted only one throw just at 10yds...

Dallas has a much better D, and Pete Carroll has already showed the Cowboys the blueprint to Bridgewater; sit in shallow cover 3, make Teddy indecisive, hold the ball, put the strain on the offensive line...

Bledsoe was no where near the quality Qb Brees is. And comparing Teddy to Tom Brady is laughable.
