I just don't think there will be much CAP space left to bring in a high priced FA on the O-line. Easton played well when given the shot, plant him at LG and let him build some chemistry.
I would rather see us pay to keep Brees and Hill together, restructure some other contracts and pick up a DT or two. WR/LB/OT/G in the draft and we are good. |

And assuming we would be "good" is assuming that we hit paydirt on every one of those picks. The majority of players picked through the draft never pan out for one reason or another. |

That’s good to hear, and I don’t doubt it. Mickey knows how to move numbers around and make the best of it. I would just hate to overpay for someone if we have a player on the roster that’s worth giving a shot to. Easton can only get better playing in the system longer and next to the same guys.
Personally I would much rather have a big nasty pass rushing DT in free agency. |
