Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
I’m starting to think we might re-sign Andrus Peat much to the chagrin of Saints nation. The only better LG option in free agency is Joe Thuney and if he doesn’t re-sign with the Pats he’ll probably end up in Miami where they’re flush with cap space and have a former Patriot coach.

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
I just don’t see it happening. With Ron Rivera in town I think there’s renewed player interest to be a Redskin... they’ve even patched things up with Trent Williams and have him willing to come back. With $60 mil in cap space I don’t see Scherff going anywhere.

The way Nick Easton performed when AP was out spoke volumes. I just don't understand why our coaches (Sean Payton) try to make Peat happen - especially in the wildcard game vs Vikings. When he went out and Easton came in for a couple of plays, our offensive line improved significantly. The stubbornness of letting Peat back in to play contributed to that loss. If the plan is to bring back Peat this off season, expect the same results once the opponent gets meaner, stronger in the post season. |

Re: 2020 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
Chris, sadly your assessment may be spot on of the Saints FO, but I'd be as frustrated with K Major if we didn't go all-in with Scherff; Warford is overpaid for the production and didn't get it done...

I imagine Scherff at the very least gets the franchise tag. Ron Rivera learned in Carolina the value of protecting your QB.
