And for whatever reason, our defense gets injured a lot down the stretch & lost guys at CB.

Pat Mahommes would have lit us up.

Snake bit.
That is the best description. Winning in the playoffs involves a great deal of luck. It has not been on our side recently, but at least we are putting ourselves in position to give it a chance. Almost every other franchise would love to be in our position. We are getting VERY spoiled as fans.

NFL free agency begins March 18th. Currently, the Saints sit at $9.3 million available but Mickey Loomis is a wizard, very creative when it comes to finding cap space.

The Black and Gold may target a wide receiver to team with Michael Thomas. At cornerback Eli Apple may or may not be afforded a new deal while Janoris Jenkins could be released to free up $11 million and P.J. Williams may also have a new address for ’20.

Andrus Peat, still just 26 years old, played..

^^^ on the list of FA ..

Keep an eye on Perriman, Thuney & Scherff.

If we made one big "splash" this off season... Cory Littleton - LB.

Just the players on defense that probably move on or not resign will dismantle the defense enough to go into suck mode fast.
Like the cat says we can’t afford 90% of the players listed. So believe in the draft I say.

So to sign players the team will have to push everything down the road. And dont start with the cap is rising, its rising for 31 other teams and players salaries are going through the roof. My fear with this is the team is going to risk 5 years for one more shot with Drew. The cap space the team have is going to pretty much go to Drews and everything else if going to be creatively made to try and bring back some players.

The AFC was also far weaker in overall competition. It was easier to advance further.

We could argue that all day AG
AFC
Chiefs - Super Bowl champions
Baltimore
Tennessee
Pats
Buffalo
NFC
San Fran - Super Bowl losers
Green Bay
Seattle
Vikes
Saints
