Not sure if anyone has thought about this but I assume that the majority of people happy that Brees is returning are older Saints fans and the majority of fans wanting a different QB are from the younger generation.

Those of us that endured watching a losing team season after season and seeing people in the stands with bags on their heads at games know how special Brees is to this team. (Don't get me started on any QB with Billy Joe for a name).
Think of how Bengals and Browns fans feel. They're miserable and desparate just for a winning season. I don't miss that feeling.

I don't do too many "back in my day" rants because they make me feel old but I'm guessing that this is primarily an old-timers vs. young-uns debate.
