This preseason sucks. I didn’t realize how much I would miss preseason games until now. I usually live for this coming weekend. To make matters worse there’s no actual news coming out of camp other than “watch for this” and “watch for that”.
If it wasn’t for JPs work here I probably wouldn’t give a **** about what’s going on in camp.

Saints place All-Pro returner Deonte Harris on reserve/COVID-19 list today 8/14/20.

Just an FYI ...

Get them out of the way before the season starts. But, most on the list have been "possible contact", not actual infection. Once clearing two tests they are cleared to continue.

Oh, and I heard today COVOD list players don't count toward the 80. You can bring in others to try out.

Yep, let IT run ITS course through and then get that herd immunity established early seems to be the best...

Payton and management seem to be going all-out to establish a bubble and not sure that's really possible at this point...

Not quite a bubble. More like a perimeter. Not total isolation like the NBA and MLS, but protocols in place to greatly minimize any multiple exposures.

Until he makes a huge play in a huge moment, a lot of people won't forget his screw up.

The is the key point dizzle. He screws up and misses tackles at the wrong time. Let him go to a rugby practice if he wants to learn how to tackle. No one does it better than ruggers.

Absolutely, the technique of a perfect form tackle is all too rare in the NFL now. Whereas it's just the norm in Rugby.

The scouting reports on Marcus pre draft were accurate ...

"Not physical, lacks strength to tackle NFL RB's at the second level, much more of a drag-down (see George Kittle play) tackler".

Marcus has a lot of sure tacklers around him (Demario, Nigel B, Ceedy, Jenkins) so if he can't get it together in 2020 ... go find his replacement in 2021 via Free Agency or the draft.

3 years in, at this level you shouldn't be "learning" to tackle when the safety position is the last line of defense.

Well, this one actually has legit NFL speed; he'll probably back up Emmanuel Sanders at the WRz, and would be very comparable to a Devery Henderson/Robert Meachem role...

I wouldn't have let Larry Warford go.

There is no telling how long Marshmallow Peat will be out. He's just as injury prone as Armstead and another season full of excuses on why he continues to be the weakest link on the O line.

Don't agree with the Warford part, but I think you're dead-on right that it'd be foolish to not keep some extra bodies on the offensive line now that Peat's health has become as mercurial as that of Mr. Glass...

Thought Easton played waaay better than Peat at the end of last season; and though we need salary cap relief, and with Hurst facing a 4-game suspension, there' no way I'd let either one of those go...

Good to see football back to status quo ain’t it. Peat being injured is the official start to preseason.
