Re: NFL.com | Drew Brees: 'I'm on borrowed time' as Saints enter Super Bowl or bust season
Never said it was his, nor ANYONE’S fault individually..., but the record is what the record is. Every team out there has bad calls, bad plays, and bad bounces. That’s an excuse, not a reason.

I hope you get the idea. The NFL post season is based upon so much luck, or lack of, that is how Vegas always makes its money. The best team doesn't always win. But, I will you you with every bit of my passion as a Saints fan since I was nine years old in 1967 that a 2-3 playoff record is great if that is what it is. I cannot see the waste of energy to think otherwise. |

The only reason we were relevant at all in the Vikings game was because of the elements that Taysom Hill brought and despite the defense being gassed, they somehow still managed to keep it close, even despite constant 3 and outs by the offense. 2018 Rams game - everyone and I mean everyone knew the Rams were going to run a fake punt, I barely watched them all year and even I heard they have a tendency to do it. That play gave the Rams full momentum, even despite the no call, we were not winning that game once they had us on the ropes. I sincerely hope adding Sanders to our offense will stop defenses being able to key on Kamara and Thomas as they tend to in the playoffs, but until proven otherwise, this Payton led team seems to be asleep in the playoffs, wakes up late in the 4th quarter, only to lose dramatically. My honest opinion - I think Pete C should be the primary play caller, giving Payton more time to view the game from the overall perspective. |

I was there, Section 259, Row 4, Seat 9, my first year with season tickets! I was there for every game including the Championship game (didn’t make the SuperBowl ticket cut though, lol).
Bottom line, since then, all the talking heads discuss how great the QB is, how great the HC is, how loaded the team is..., and how many conference championships have the Saints won since then? Zero. I don’t care about the reasons, I don’t care about what could have been done, I don’t evaluate the ppl, just the record/stats, aka the quantitative analysis. |

Of course with all the emotion aside, if possible. By the way, I spent my career dealing with quantitative analysis and five post-season games are not a viable sample for any cumulative analysis. Try flipping a coin five times and you'll be quantitatively as accurate. Sorry, but it's the truth. |
