Re: Wtf is up with Lutz???
Hurts looked decent. We definitely didn’t make him look like a messiah. He completed 57% of his passes and protected the ball like he did at Alabama. His damage came on the ground from scrambles because we play a lot of man and **** was locked up. Again, a big chunk of that yardage came on one play. The defense gave up 24 points. The league average is 25 points. Offense and special teams couldn’t even be average.

Re: Wtf is up with Lutz???
Taysom Hill had 291 yards, 2 TDs, completed 73% of his passes, and had a 102 QBR. He looked just like Drew Brees right? That’s what the stat line says. He torched the Eagles, huh?

I like Taysom the weapon but let's be honest here, he's not a starter in this league long term. I'm sure Underhill, Deuce or someone will break down his play on tomorrow but he had guys open today.
Saints either give Winston a serious look (assuming he returns in 2021) at camp, draft one or in Free Agency. |

Play of the game. CJGJ let a go ahead pick 6 slip right through his hands. Players on a #1 defense don’t miss those opportunities.

Re: Wtf is up with Lutz???
We all know hill isn’t the answer , but it is what it is. Winston does not grasp the playbook yet, hill has 3 years in the system and Payton blew smoke up his asre not to leave for another team so it’s who we got live with it. Until Brees comes back if he does at all, to me it’s why Payton is controlling his runs can’t risk the injury. I believe we have hill at least next week to.

Re: Wtf is up with Lutz???
Tonight was the third or fourth time I’ve seen TH burn a fastball into the receivers from close range when absolutely not necessary. Tonight he almost took the arms and hands off AK from less than 10’ on a screen. Interception was the result. Either just a lack of touch or the game is still to fast for him see read and understand what he needs in that moment. Too many passes with placement that the intended receiver has no chance of making even a spectacular catch.
One man turnover machine. |
