Who cares if we say what's wrong with the team, that's sports and this is a discussion forum. I'm looking forward to the season as much as anyone, but talking about previous failures is part of sports and it's not always sunshine and rainbows.

If you get so wound up about it, then let the posters that are mature enough speak between ourselves and don't comment if you can't do so without causing an argument.
I began pointing out when y'all post negative crap about the Saints. If it seems that I am bullying those few of you that are always so critical it is because 90% of your posts are negative regarding the Saints. At least spk opening admits he is a pessimist and that is just his nature. But most of the members here get tired of reading the same negative, critical, and sometimes hateful posts over and over again.

I have no issue with criticism. But it gets tiresome when it is all that comes out of a person's mouth, or off the tip's of their fingers.

Guess what? We are all aware that the Saints have gone 7-9 the past three years and 4 of the last 5. That doesn't have to part of a post multiple times each day. We know that the Byrd, Browner and Gallete deals were bad in hindsight. No need to constantly use that tired point in lambasting the front office constantly.

Sorry, I choose to always be enthusiastic about my Saints. If you want to call that sunshine and rainbows, fine! Nothing wrong with sunshine and rainbows. I for one know that there is nothing I can do as a fan to bring success to the Saints. I simply strive to make my loyalty as enjoyable as possible. That, my friend is made more difficult constantly having to wade through negative posts.

A fair weather fan is someone that only shows up when the team is winning, which can't be said for anyone of us as we would not be here right now.

As I said, if you don't like what we are discussing then move along and we will continue to discuss between ourselves, we don't need your input.
When didn't I "show up" as you put it? If you looked down at the members visiting the forum listing you would see that I have been here every day (except for a brief period when I was recovering from surgery) for years. The fact that I told myself I wasn't going to respond to the negative garbage a few of you were inundating the forum with for a couple of weeks a couple of years ago doesn't mean I wasn't here.

What is your problem?

Firstly, I never said you don't "show up," I gave my description of a fair weather fan and said that doesn't apply to us. Please re-read my post.

Secondly, I don't have a problem, I just agree with Spkb and The Dude, I made that clear that I have no problem reflecting on past failures and then you quoted all 3 of us into your response and started on your tirade.

I've got better things to do than go round in circles with you so I'm done arguing, just wanted to state my opinion.

First, I was addressing Dude's claim that I "didn't show up" and that I was a fair weather fan. I replied to your post with your definition of fair weather fan. I am aware that you never claimed that I didn't show up, whatever that means. Sorry.

Second, I am aware that you agree with spk and Dude. Anytime they they bring up failures of the past we always see that you liked the post. They get a lot of likes from you.

Good post. Have your views ad share them. if you want to counter someone's belief then have at it. Personally attacking, constantly, about someone's view is ridic. Just move along and recognize that is their view and you have your own. Going after them personally though over and over, come on now.

Ya know and that is just it. Since when did being honest about the team equate to negativity? If the team has been 7-9 4 of the last 5 years that is a fact. It isn't negative or positive, it just is.

I have seen Dizzle and you point out areas of concern and areas of excitement. That's being honest. The loss of Unger is concerning. He is a really good center. The loss of Armistead is concerning he is a very good left tackle. Couple that with the fact that he just signed a huge contract and hasn't been healthy since is even more worrisome. The situation with Fairley is a concern because he was really good for us last year.

Positive areas are that Unger's fill in has been doing well. Kamara sounds like he could be a real stud. This Undrafted Rookie Maulet. Breaux sounds finally healthy and playing well. Lattimore sounds like the real deal. PJ if he can stay healthy is good. We could have a rally good backend.

Pros and cons. That's what it is as a fan. Not everything is good and not everything is bad.

Your team stinks

I agree with that last part. I am glad you are taking it to heart. Oh, and thanks for the reminder about those 7-9 years. I had almost forgotten about them.

And, yes, it would be a shame if Fairley could not return and the Saints had to eat some of his guarantees. What's done is done. Time to move on.

You're one hell of grade A person! The season hasn't even started yet and you're already "combative"; correct word I guess...

I can only imagine what you were like last season

I did watch my Saints in peace last season though, putting my fan-hood in question because I didn't feel like coming on here as much and dealing with all the negativity is erroneous...

But seems like negativity and attacking posters is right up your alley
