Last year it was NY strip. Next year, I want T-bones because they are easier to grill. Seasoned with Moore's marinade, McCormicks steak seasoning and drizzled with honey for a sweet flavor.
My neighbor brought baked beans in a cast iron stove that was killer. She also made a delicious potato salad. My favorite was the banana pudding that another neighbor made. MMMMM.......
Next year's BnG host?

I would love to host the BnG get together! I'm on the eastern shore of Mobile though, and I don't think that I'm centrally located enough to make it work.

Re: What’s on the menu!

I went to my first vegan Thanksgiving dinner. It was surprisingly good but not very filling. The gravy was by far the most authentic tasting. There was plenty of interesting talk around the dinner table about the faux turkey being tasty, but a little tough(cardboard,) and needing some work on the recipes in general. There was a large variety of foods on the table to choose from and I ate modestly putting gravy on everything.

No stores were open on Thanksgiving and I couldn't find turkey anywhere including restaurants. So, after several attempts, I went to Waffle House. They laughed when I said I'd left a vegan dinner and was starving! I was going to leave when one of the ladies suggested a good old fashioned American double cheeseburger with mushrooms and grilled onions, which I got to go. I also had several cheesecake slices waiting at home.

This is a terrific story. Such sadness and horror but the tragedy turned to victory.
