Anyone know of a good hole in the wall type seafood place in or around Kenner. Metairie will work, too. We'll be staying just off Williams up by the lake. We've been going to Harbour Seafood on Williams near I-10 recently, but wanted to try something different.

Any ideas?

Oysters are a must, as well as soft-shell crab.

Cheese steak tonight! I think I'll wash it down with an IPA from one of the local breweries.

Pork ribs on the grill. Grilled corn and taters. Nothing fancy. Just tasty.

I love me a good Voodoo Ranger. But I’m staying away from them for just a little bit.
Some of their brews(Fruit Juice Force) are sneaky strong.

Re: What’s on the menu!

If you need a quick delicious filling lunch, I'll share with you my recipe. Hey I'm eating it right now!

Chicken Tortilla Stew for 1:
1 Can Campbell's Chunky Chicken Tortilla Soup
a large spoonful of jalapenos
1 cup cooked white rice
2 soft taco tortilla shells
1 large spoonful sour cream
1/4 cup of shredded mexican cheese

- Put the soup, jalapenos and rice into a large bowl and microwave for 2 minutes
- microwave the 2 tortilla shells for about 30 seconds
- tear up the tortilla shells and put them in the soup
- add sour cream and cheese to the soup

You're welcome!
