Re: Luke Johnson | Taysom vs. Jameis QB battle: Taysom Hill closes on a strong note in 2-minute offense
I didn't get to watch the game - have seen a few plays from the game. Not gonna judge what I haven't seen, but Winston's pick looked like he threw the ball to the wrong side of the WR. It also looked like the WR might have helped him out but didn't. Hill's looked like the receiver stopped short on the route?
Anyway, too early to make a call either way. |

Take note of Davenport. He was quick as hell off the line.
When healthy, he’s ferocious. |

Sean has stated he's likely not naming a starter for a couple more PreSeason Games...
Thought both played okay considering they were going against one of the best defenses in the league in their house... Neither one has separated himself as the starter, yet... |

In that case, if it comes down to this, Winston has the greater experience and Hill has far more value in other aspects of the game. Anything resembling a tie should go to Winston.

Re: Luke Johnson | Taysom vs. Jameis QB battle: Taysom Hill closes on a strong note in 2-minute offense
From what I saw of Taysom last night is that he is still staring down WR's and can't "throw them open". Winston, even playing with the 2s/3s & guys with no chemistry looked more comfortable in the pocket. Ultimately Sean Payton already knows who his Day 1 starter will be.
Next preseason game -- > primetime in the Dome vs Jags. |
