I just wonder if they're as high on him as a possible QB as Payton was. If not, can they use him like Payton did in that joker role? The guy is an athlete. idk. Make him a TE or a RB or something if he's not gonna be a QB. Lol. I'm sure he'll see the field one way or another. No way they're gonna pay him that coin to sit the bench and be a #2 QB. |

6'2 230 4.56 speed, beef him up 10-15 lbs. and he's nightmare. Able to truck most cb's and S,with his speed lb's have a mismatch all game long. Decent enough hands and willing to block, not much downfall especially with what we have at TE right now.

Yes! Also consider that most of his contract cost is married to what he does at QB via specific incentives. He is not that expensive playing TE or any other position as long as he produces as he has shown those areas to date.

Oh he could pull a Jimmy Graham and leverage the NFLPA to renegotiate his contract, eh speedo?

Re: Why Jameis Winston is STILL Saints best QB option
That’s not exactly true. His cap hit every year is around $12 million without the incentives. That gives him the 5th highest cap hit in the league for TE’s this year and 6th highest next year.

Re: Why Jameis Winston is STILL Saints best QB option
I guess it depends upon who viewed him as what between Payton and Carmichael. Was it Pete or Sean's feeling he could be a starting QB?
