Deshaun Watson to Saints?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Well if we don't get Watson (and I hope we don't), we've sure pissed off Ceedy Deuce and Winston with this BS. I sure hope Dennis Allen knows what he's doing. Because right now it sure seems like he's being ...

I agree 100%. It has us looking really weak and desperate when we aren’t. That’s what I liked about SP. He didn't kiss a FA’s arse, either you want to play here or not

Given the questions still about Winston, and our other options it was a no brainer to go after Watson a known quality QB. (I was against this at first but I warmed to it) And honestly I think it's a stupid decision on Watson's not to come here. I have to say I'm not really scared of that Falcons team with him on it.
Yeah, DA gambled and there's some hard feelings but with Watson we could have solved the QB issue long term. To me it was worth the gamble I hate to lose Ceedy but he clearly has value so if he can't be brought back in the fold we should be able to get something good for him on a solo trade.

One key difference between Watson and Winston is that with Winston we still have draft picks, with which we can select wide receivers. With Watson, all bets are on Michael Thomas showing up and staying healthy, which could be a risky bet. With Winston we could possibly draft multiple new receivers for depth. I don’t think Watson will be great with Deonte H as his #1 wr and Little Jordan Howard as #2.

We still have Marquez Callaway, also. He's not bad. Better than anyone the Falcons have right now, minus Calvin Ridley, who may be in NFL jail the rest of his life.

OK this guy is playing us now. I bet he's hoping we pull out so he doesn't need to make a decision. The problem is I don't want to loose anything to Atlanta.

Agreed with Winston if he's still willing to come back.
He’ll definitely compete but I see his ceiling as Chase Daniels.

Careless is when the player finds out he's been traded by hearing it on the radio!
It IS a business. It's okay for a player to be upset because he finds out he's trade bait and feels "betrayed"?

When a player then leaves the team that gave him his start because another team offers him more $$$$$$$$$. Do the fans and team feel betrayed? I don't.
