Did not play last night

If Abram can show more on special teams, he has a shot. He did some good things & seems to be a strong runner. I understand that "punch out" was perfect but you simply cannot fumble. Two hands & secure it.

Side note: I'd like to see what Costello can do under center on next week.
Has Baun even been cleared to practice yet? I thought he was still going through the "ramping up" process.

As for Costello, he'll probably be released as soon as Winston can return to drills. They use three QB's in drills and Hill hasn't been one of them at all.

With only 3 preseason games you have to play as many guys as you can. I don't put too much into it.

Only one pre season game in the books but Penning needs all the reps he can get. I was glad Dougie M played him most of the game.

It will take some time before he takes the starting LT spot away from Hurst.

They should get more out of the two days of practice with the Packers this week than all three preseason games put together. At least that's what I have heard coaches and GM's say here recently.

Lol.

Naw, it's gonna take time just like all of the other rookies. As most expected, his pass blocking & footwork needs fine tuning.

What I like most about Trevor is that he's coachable, has a mean streak and a ridiculous ceiling. He could end up as your starting bookend for the next 8-10 years.

Tony Jones is the #3......at this stage might be a r
Tougher running than Mark Ingram (even though how much I love him). Trequan needs to be released now. I'm still hoping for book, but he doesn't look good.

I totally agree with this. I am very critical of his CURRENT technique but the potential he posesses is tremendous.
He is quite typical of the college player that has gotten by a lot on size and strength, he will have a period of time while getting used to the NFL.

Well it was disappointing to lose the game but it was only pre-season.

Also, the Texans were pretty awful as well! 11 penalties won't help your team!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!
