Dennis Allen didn’t really turn the defense into a powerhouse. The defense was stockpiled with talent at every level. He wasn’t creating crazy schemes and fooling anybody. We line up in man to man every game with a single high safety in Marcus Williams who had the range to cover the entire field. I saw nothing innovative or special from Allen on defense. I saw talent. Allen ain’t a leader and I’d gladly sign that petition. Dude is ass.

Agreed! Remember when "Trusting In Spags" led to the worst defense in the league? That very same "Spags" went on to win a Super Bowl with KC.

The lack of defensive talent he had here was the reason for that dubious record. You can be a great coach but if you have 11 broom sticks to "coach up" you'll end up with a record setting "bad defense". Having talent makes the job much easier.

Dennis Allen was able to put a good defense on the field when they drafted him a good defense. He gas done nothing special as a head coach and I want him gone. If he wants to stay on his defensive coordinator I'm okay with that. If not.. see you!

When somebody plays a lot of man on Madden you know what I do? Bunch my receivers and run drags. What have teams done successfully on us for years? Drags.

I like Allen. He was stuck without a qb and all but one WR hurt. Db underperformed all year. I’d say let him build his team and get rid of the mess SP left behind.

DA pretty much dismantled the defensive backfield in just a few months and it shows.

Maye is okay, but he's no Marcus Williams.
Roby is okay, but he's no CGJ
Mathieu, looks like he's checked out.

Vonn Bell, Marcus Williams and CGJ all have more ints individually than our entire unit have combined.

SP was 1 win away from the playoffs with way more injuries than this team sustained.

DA just isn't the answer.

The way he's broken the D, I'd even be hesitant to keep him on as D coordinator, which is a shame because we used to have a really good defense.

Bell left under Payton, not Allen. CGJ and Williams were money decisions that were out of Allen’s control because the team couldn’t afford them.

Amazing how people can defend a 4-7 record coach, but ready crucify a Super Bowl and franchise record winning coach (Sean Payton)

It’s also amazing how people don’t take into account how injuries impact a team and their performance. Case in point the Super bowl champ Rams with the same coach are a mess with fewer wins than the Saints and a loss to them as well.

We had 4 qb changes, no wr experience, injuries up and down the offensive line yet we still were competitive and had better record than this yet you make excuses for DA who have a losing record going back to being HC of the raiders?

As for business decisions by Loomis. You pay a HUGE amount to get Maye. Pay mathieu more than you were considering paying CJG. CJG is still balling and have more interceptions than Maye and Mathieu combined. Business decision! You know if Payton was here that wouldn’t had fly. Payton is the reason Kamara is here, we found Diamonds like Pierre Thomas & Marquis Colston.
