Sean Payton is going to Denver and we get their first round draft pick. I'm sure that on Sean Payton's coaching list of candidates there are several names from New Orleans. We might actually lose several good coaches who will probably bring as much Talent with them as they can.

Maybe Sean calls Pete to become his assistant to the HC, to the OC, to the WR coach . ??

Port Orleans Brewery. Two of my favorite t-shirts came from there. Wife and I went there the night before a game this season and it had really lost its charm. It wasn't really a sports bar any longer. They had teamed up with a taqueria type setup for food and ordering was all from a mobile menu. I missed their pub food and being able to just walk up to the bar to taste and order beers. The atmosphere pretty much sucked. We left after several minutes without ordering. It used to be one of our favorite stops.

That's pretty much the story of local eateries and pubs of late in NOLA.
Covid and crime has ruined many a fan favorite, sadly. Truly hope it improves. It can only improve, right, or is that asking too much?

One would hope so. I lived in New Orleans in the seventies and crime has only gotten worse. Hey, at least it's not Mobile Alabama where they have the second lowest life expectancy rate and consistently rank number one as the murder capital of the US.

There will be more. Don't forget that basically our entire coaching staff was Payton's hires, not Dennis Allen's, especially on the offensive side.

That would be nice but somehow I don't see Roger Goodell letting us have compensatory picks if he can get away with taking them. He's an evil little man.:ubl:

Edit: I wonder if Rodger Goodell will continue to hate on Sean Payton in Denver? It's obvious that he's got a grudge against Sean for calling him out.

Goodell has no say on compensatory picks for coaching hires. That said, compensatory picks for coaching hires only applies for an upward hire of a minority to either a coordinator or head coaching position or to certain front office positions.

It's kind of funny that so many people were raising hell because Allen didn't get rid of offensive assistants like he did defensive ones and now that we're losing those same offensive assistants to Payton they're raising hell about that instead. LOL!

Now you see why I wanted more compensation for Payton the poacher. I knew this would happen. Sometimes you got to see the train coming before you step out on the tracks. Know what I mean?

We've got an assistant that would rather stay with the Saints than join Payton in Denver.

I hope so. I'd like to meet them every year in the Super Bowl. Let them have a Buffalo type of dynasty as Lombardi runners up ever year. ;)

Mahomes (working on SB win #2), Josh A, Burrow (already been to a SB) Hebert, Trevor L are all in the AFC and aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Those are real QBs with legit coaches.

Sean P had over a decade first-ballot HOF QB under center with only one Lombardi. The AFC will be much more difficult for Payton & Denver.

I'd put away the anointing oil ;).
