Bottom line is that top coin is reserved for players that consistently put in the work. Ruiz is nowhere near that category.

The price tag of the 5th-year option is reserved for top-tier players.

I figured Luton was history, but I'm not terribly surprised by Gore. They at least have a shot to catch on somewhere else now.

We needed to cut the deadweight. With them gone we have still only have FIVE slots on the 90 man roster open for free agents. Luton's spot was a waste the second we drafted Haener. Gore was gone when we signed UFDA RB SaRodorick Thompson. That leaves us with six RB's (Kamara, Williams, Miller, Washington, Benjamin, and Thompson) and one FB in Prentice.
