We needed to cut the deadweight. With them gone we have still only have FIVE slots on the 90 man roster open for free agents. Luton's spot was a waste the second we drafted Haener. I would love for Drew to come in a coach the qbs or just help anyone he can. It would be nice just to have him around the players and remain a part of the organization

He would have been politely told there are two numbers not available any longer ... 8 and 9. Not officially retired numbers, but not available according to a Jeff Duncan article last year.
