Re: Evaluating Coaches

The good news for the Saints is that the NFC South is probably going to be the worst division in football in 2023.

Trask (Tampa) is an unknown, Carolina needs a QB & Desmond Ridder (Falcons) may not be the long term answer.

I keep thinking that we're going to have another crappy season because of the concerns about player depth and whether the coaching and play calling will improve. Although, we could still win the NFC South and make the playoffs again. Possibly but not probably. There is a lot of gloom and doom on the board right now but I'm going to start looking at this the way that you are. Who knows? Those new coaches might actually help influence Dennis Allen's strategies.

So jameis can now lead us to the NFC South crown?

One could argue, convincingly, that it couldn't get worse than last season with all of the key injuries. I cannot imagine 2023 being anything but better with whatever additions we bring in via free agency and the draft. The near complete overhaul of the coaching staff could have a positive effect, as well.

He's better than almost all of the free agent QB's out there right now.

Arguably ... And under contract too .

Precisely why the play is to play Jameis or/and Taysom and draft Hooker.

I like it. Although, if Jameis Winston can get back to the form he had under Sean Payton before his injury that would be okay with me as long as they draft Hendon Hooker. I hope that we are able to win this season for a couple of reasons. One is that I am a DieHard New Orleans Saints fan. The second reason is that I don't want to stunt Hendon Hooker's growth and development with a new system next year if this one doesn't work out. I have my doubts but I've got my fingers crossed.
