Re: Tanking 2023 Season
Exactly, voodoo! I totally believe we would have won at the very least four more games with Winston in there. All Dalton could do was dump off short passes behind the chains. He couldn't hit anyone down field. We had receivers running wide open down field all season long.

But, to be fair, Carmichael was limited to what Dalton could do behind a makeshift offensive line while missing three of his top receivers (Thomas, Landry, and Harty) for most of the season.
You say the team was well stocked when Allen took over. Well, I guess they had a huge fire in the stock room before opening shop because it looked more like Big Lots than Macy's out there with all of the inferior products on the shelves. |

Re: Tanking 2023 Season
Sean Payton is known as the mad scientist because of his schemes. Otherwise, he would be known as The mad Igor. I don't recall Pete Carmichael ever being called a mad scientist because it was Sean Payton's Playbook. We are still running it but not effectively without Sean.

Last season it was Carmichael, Dan Roushar (running game), and Ronald Curry (passing game) that would have been doing the play design. And remember that they fired Roushar right away after the season.
I'm hoping that they actually go back to some of Payton's plays. |
