You seen me down 0, make a pot of gold. lol. More like you seen me down plenty, robbing the Saints of gold. I hope they just cut this dude and move on.

Re: Can't Guard Mike

I sure hope the Saints and Mike can work out a friendly prove it again restructure so he can come back and kill it with the Saints. He'd be deadly with Carr throwing him the ball. We would be scary good with Olave and Shaheem also out there abusing the 2nd and 3rd CB's.

Triggered.

The bottom line is Mike hasn't been healthy in almost 3 seasons.

Probable post June 1st cut.

The poor fellow can't even communicate well. I guess his brain got soft spending time on social media with nothing to say and he just wants to put something out there to show that he's still relevant. Good luck with that.

It's song lyrics. It's not supposed to mean anything to us, but people that know the songs get the references. It's quite common on Twitter.

Can't find Mike = can't play Mike = can't guard Mike.

More like this one:

"Sittin' in the mornin' sun
I'll be sittin' when the evenin' comes
Watching the ships roll in
Then I watch 'em roll away again, yeah
I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away, ooh
I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time..."

That would never work on Twitter. It's too easy to understand.

I thought we had to pay a huge roster bonus if we didn’t trade him before the draft or at least in the next two months! Not sure if the date!

Mental illness would allow him to spend time with a new type of doctor on Sundays.

I cut him. Draft a WR in the 2nd or 3rd and do away with that outrageous contract. I don't think he gets big money in FA anywhere. Not worth the chance letting him stay.

Yep. I’d even bring Landry back for the vet minimum if he’s with it. Run it back with an upgrade at QB and hopefully also at Guard and with two new running backs (power back and speed back).

If we sign Derek Carr then Michael Thomas could feasibly rework his contract. If we could get Thomas back at a reasonable price then we could draft his replacement and pray that he plays this year. I would not give him a big contract but he can prove it here or he can prove it somewhere else. On paper last year our wide receiver room looked solid. But we wound up playing with second tier quarterbacks and Michael Thomas's injury was devastating.

From my understanding he spent all his time on rehab after both injuries and all three required surgeries.

From my understanding can't call Mike did not do the rehab after his initial injury that the team suggested and then he made himself unavailable to the New Orleans Saints coaches and training staff. I'm sorry Guido, but I don't buy that he's been trying hard from the beginning. He took bad advice and ran with it. Unfortunately, that's one of the last few times he was able to run. LOL

After suffering the first injury (the ankle) he continued playing under medication as the team wished. After they finally shut him down he chose to attempt rehab instead of surgery. He finally agreed to surgery after rehab alone wasn't working and began rehab again immediately after. During this rehab complications arose (probably infection) and they did a second surgery. Once again, he began rehab right away and returned for the beginning of the 2022 season. He was lights out before suffering a totally separate injury to the foot of his other leg and had surgery and, once again, began rehab ASAP.

This is what I was trying to point out. At no point was he not trying to return. As you said he probably took bad advice by attempting the rehab without surgery, but that doesn't mean he wasn't working to return. The guy has spent almost all of the past three years doing nothing but rehab.

Have you ever trying running on a dislocated toe? :D

It took surgery to repair the damage. That means the ligaments were damaged and needed to be repaired. Rest will not work. Recovery from that type of surgery can take months, not just weeks. Seriously, what else was he supposed to do?

There are multiple videos out there where physicians speak on this injury. There’s no way an athlete could perform with this injury. Hence why surgery was required.

Re: Can't Guard Mike

I guess.

Underhill (or maybe it was Triplett) was among the 1st to predict the Saints and Michael Thomas were headed for divorce following the contract "tweak".

I got roasted on this forum a few months ago when I said the divorce was all but final with Sean Payton & New Orleans.
There was one person in particular who had all of the insight and just assumed he would pull a Bill Cowher move & stay in the Fox booth. Yeah right  .

Guess we'll see what happens with MT this off-season.

At this point, I could care less if he stays or goes.

I wish all the naysayers would go back and watch the season opener against ATL.
MT’s 1st TD catch is why I’m not giving up on the guy. We win 4 additional games easily with that guy on the roster.

Yup. The biggest problem with our offense was the inability to pick up the first on third down. There's no one in the game that's as effective at doing just that than Thomas. Four additional games at the very least.
