They are in serious need of pass catchers after the departure of DJ Moore.

If the Panthers get their QB (long term) in the draft, they could be dangerous in the NFC South. Their defense is already solid.
But....but....We are supposed to win the NFC South! How dare they try to be competitive!

Five seasons in, he's gained more bulk & is still quick. Slightly bigger taller than Mike T (could play the X as back up) & can play @ the Z.

I think he'd be a "safer" choice at WR without the costly price tag.

Last I heard, Odell's camp is asking anywhere from 4-8M. Big risk on a 30 year old with two torn ACL's. Dallas was interested however Jerrah decided to trade for B Cooks instead.
I haven’t seen us linked to Chark. The Panthers are though. In comparison, I rather do a 1 year deal with OBJ because he’s so much better than Chark at practically everything and they’re both injury prone. I doubt we get either though.

We already have the most injury prone wide receiver in the league. We do not need to get the 2nd or 3rd most injury prone one too. If we have money to spend we should have spent it cutting Thomas or Peat and replacing them with someone healthy and young. If we have a few million to spend it could make more sense to get a healthy oline, TE, or a linebacker.

Sammy Watkins - Washed
Mike Evans - Still Good
ODB - Washed
Bradin Cooks - Meh Downslide
Kelvin Benjamin - out the league
Marquise Lee - Out the league
Jordan Matthews - Washed been bouncing around Practice squads
Paul Richarson - Out the league
Davante Adams - Still Good
Cody Lattimer - Out the league
Allen Robinson - Meh Downslide
Jarvis Landry - Washed

Let's get our younger players to step up and get some new players both in the draft and UDFA.

Where do you have Can't Call Mike ranked as of now ?

He hasn't played a full season of football in years and he's 30. I see his "tweets" but hadn't seen any highlights of him working out, cutting, or catching passes .

And yeah, Landry looks close to being done.

Agree with Nick on LB depth.

I think OBJ is far from washed. The last time we saw him he was in the Super Bowl dominating. Looked like he was about to win the MVP. I also don't think youth is always the answer. Two of our starting WR's are second year guys. We may benefit from veteran leadership. I see us drafting a WR and bringing a few guys in in UDFA like you said, but we could definitely benefit from bringing in guys that we know can play now.

The injury issue is a tricky thing. Both Thomas and Landry started off last year healthy (So did Penning). The injuries they had were not reoccurring issues. They were plays that could happen to any player. Didn’t Trautman hurt himself running a route pre-snap?

The Saints were Snakebit for injuries last year. The national press has documented it. That’s 2 years in a row we’ve had really bad luck as far as player availability. It’s happened to old, young, prone and non-prone players.

Re: OK Then... New Biggest Need

Something needs to change on Airline drive.

Read an article last season back in late Oct that the Saints were the least (#32) healthy team heading down the stretch for a playoff run.

Maybe more players should hang around Demario, Cam, or ask Malcolm Jenkins what they do on a daily to stay so "fit".

If they know a fountain of youth I’m all for it. How could Tom Brady last as long as he did?
