Re: The 2023 JeanPierre Saints Roster Depth Chart Thread
We could use some quickness along that line to get after elusive/mobile QB's. They have been our biggest problem on defense. That and stopping the run is damn near impossible.

One way or another both Allen and Carmichael are going to be gone sooner than later. As with everything else, I am optimistic about that. I'm just looking forward to positive moves in the future after we finish this playoff push.

Re: The 2023 JeanPierre Saints Roster Depth Chart Thread
I was at training camp when Andrus Peat showed up looking like the Pillsbury dough boy and I wasn't impressed with him. When I saw him I told my brother that he looked really soft. His physical shape isn't sculptured like an athlete and that is what I ant from my O linemen. I've said every since then that he is built like the Pillsbury dough boy. But, now that I think about it, he also reminds me of the giant marshmallow in Ghostbusters. They are both likeable characters though.
We signed Peat in the first round to be the left tackle. He wasn't very good and we tried him on the right side where he failed miserably. So, then we moved him to LG and he's had his moments. Sometimes, he's blocking great, and then other times he's missing assignments or getting knocked to on his ass on a regular basis. Did I mention his injury history? We restructured his contract to cut him next year and go figure, he stepped up his game. He moved back to left tackle where he has played adequately in the past and has played well enough to get paid this offseason to play left tackle. We re-signed Peat to a second contract because there was a shortage of O line players available.....and the cycle continues. Do we re-sign Peat? |

Re: The 2023 JeanPierre Saints Roster Depth Chart Thread
Probably deserves it's on thread but here are the areas of need/concern for 2024:
OL, DL, LB, CB & DE, RB & TE. Better start hitting on some of these draft picks going forward. |

Re: The 2023 JeanPierre Saints Roster Depth Chart Thread
Marcus Maye graded out to be one of the worst safeties in the league. We might need some attention there too. Watching Miller on the field yesterday, he looks like he has the potential to be an explosive type back. Unfortunately, I don't know if we'll get the opportunity to see if he could be.
Both Hendrickson and Elliss elevated their game when they left. So dpressing to see as they were more than affordable to keep. |
