Back to Penning

Saints better have their scouts laser-focused on potential cuts and I am 100% fine trading future assets for an immediate upgrade at RT.

Without stability on that side we could realistically be facing a 2-7 or 1-8 going into November.

It won’t ruin them. That’s a team with young stars at important positions.

QB - Michael Penix
RB - Bijan Robinson
WR - Drake London
TE - Kyle Pitts

That’s a pretty nice group to build around offensively. They can rent Judon for a year and let him walk or if they win enough games he might want to stay for a discount. Adding somebody over 30 years old isn’t always an automatic negative.

As a matter of fact, Rez, we did. Don't forget we picked up a player potentially comparable to Judon in Chase Young.

Whoops! This might turn into another Riddick type deal for the Falcons.

They’ll add Justin Simmons as well and likely run away with the division. I’m not of the mind that they can’t win or go to a Super Bowl. Rex Grossman went. Jake Delhomme went. Trent Dilfer won. Simmons should have never got out of New Orleans and somebody like Donovan Smith should have had Penning on the bench months ago.

For what it's worth, they may be waiting for roster cuts to grab someone off of waivers. Right now, the pickings are slim!

“You go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.”

But if their O-line looks like it did last year, all those nice shiny bullets are going to stay in the clip without being fired downrange.

He didn't look to promising on this play against the Cardinals in giving up the sack.
