Let's not forget that 60% of all first round QB draftees are busts historically. That doesn't mean the other 40% were starters either. It just means they stayed in the league in some capacity for a period of time.

I'd warn to not hang your hat on anything out there this draft.

I don't see any QB worth the number 9 this year, but we need to draft one at some point.

I'm with Rez, though. Never Shough. Watched some film of Kyle McCord from Syracuse and there were some things to like there. Getting him in the third or beyond might be nice.

With ninth pick, I'm hoping for Membou or Walker now. May be some others I'll be excited about depending on who's there.

Edit: Show More: Some names I’m now hearing for the #Saints to keep an eye on. Bosses would love it to be a QB I’m sure 🤣 but sounds like they are doing a lot of work on these three according to some teams and agents I’ve spoken with. With that being said, they are playing their cards really close to the vest so hard to really get a feel here but sounds like I’m getting some consensus on these 3 names.

Right now I'd say he's Taysom Hill with a stronger arm and maybe even less accuracy. 4th round and later? I'm not mad at the experiment.

With the Saints picking at 9, I think you'll have a lot of good options.

I just hope the brain trust is past the idea that "we're close".

We need solid draft (see 2017) selections for years down the road.
