Yeah, I don't see the need for the bulletin board material. It almost ALWAYS gets you in trouble. (Ask the Vikings )

Re: Gregg Williams suggests the Saints want to injure Manning
I don't see this as bulletin board material. If you have a chance of getting to the quarterback, not that anyone's trying to knock anyone out the game, but you want to make sure you get a nice solid hit to rattle them. I'm pretty if Freeney or Mathis gets a chance to give Brees a shot, I'm 100% positive they're not going to let that opportunity go to waste... which is the same thing we'll be doing Peyton... hopefully.

"As Lou Holtz used to say, 'It's our job to score points and it's our job to stop them from hitting our QB '" Childress said.

Re: Gregg Williams suggests the Saints want to injure Manning
Man everyone is talking Manning Manning Manning....
I think the Colts defense is the real key to this game. Does anyone remember the LAST damn time we played the Colts? we lost 41 - 10 ok, 41 is tough to compete with, but we scored 10. TEN one zero! I have seen teams only give up 15, 17 or 20 points to the Colts and still lose. I say let Manning score like he does, and we score more. Thats the key |

Re: Gregg Williams suggests the Saints want to injure Manning
What happened in the past has no bearing on this game. Nice info, but of no real importance.
What is important is can they stop us from putting Manning's pants on the ground. It seems fairly clear both teams can score on anyone. Defense wins championships. Our D is better than the Dolts. |

Re: Gregg Williams suggests the Saints want to injure Manning
Thanks Choupique, but I do think it important. To me, the only stat that matters in points given up. All other defensive stats dont matter. Whoever gets the most points wins. Period.
This is the part that makes me think the Dolts have the edge in defense... They ave given up 307 this year we have given up 341 That doesnt mean a WHOLE lot...Just saying maybe we should just score like we can instead of thinking of Archies son too much |

Re: Gregg Williams suggests the Saints want to injure Manning
This may be a little off topic but look up Y.A. Tittle and look at the picture of him kneeling in the end zone, helmet off and blood pouring down his head. This was in his 1964 his last year in New York and before QB's were "off limits" to being hit. Also in 1961, the 49ers traded Tittle to the New York Giants for guard Lou Cordileone (old time Saints Fans will remember that name)
