Hard to Keep this Guy off the Field in 2011

Contrast how Reggie Bush runs....

Power to run through arm tackles. - NO
Great leg drive. - NO
Hard to bring down. - NO
Doesn't fumble. - NO
Great vision. - YES
Follows and sets up blockers well. - Sometimes
Speed to the outside. - YES
Stop and go in traffic. - YES
Great Cut back ability. - YES
Great on screen passes. - Sometimes
Picks up blitz. - Sometimes
Finishes plays and will not be denied. - NO
Fun to watch. - Sometimes

Agree with absolutely everything except vision. He has lousy field vision. He doesn't set up his blockers weel, often simply outrunning them into a tackle, and cuts left when cutting right looks open, and running backwards when its obvious he won't avoid the onslaught.

I'd say his vision is his worst enemy.

Other than that, awesome analysis.

Reggie has great vision but he tries to do too much and the pro game is too fast for his style because he can't break arm tackles. The problem isn't vision. When he's in the open field, he has the vision to take it to the house. This is what make him great in college... that and his speed. You don't get drafted #2 overall without vision.

In any case, I can agree with your point and it really should say "sometimes".
