Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board

Just thought of another scenario...

In a trade with Chiefs, Raiders, Cardinals, Jaguars, Jets and send our 2013 first round pick and a player (i.e. Chris Ivory) for their 2013 second round pick, 2013 third round pick and 2014 first round pick...

Would need to consult the draft chart to see the values...

It's not like we're doing great with our first rounders anyways...

sure you do not want to add a team or two more to that list

i would love that extra pick next year. problem is the trade of next year picks usually carry a higher price to them. so a team really really must want a player to do it. i mean really

True, but we have options in the draft and it's not likely the two first rounders I'd want (Fisher or Joeckel) will be there at 15...

You know... had Chris Faulk not gotten injured his Senior year, he easily would have been a day 2 pick at the latest. Very highly touted and lots of upside. If he were to actually take him, no doubt in my mind he'll be a good RT right off the bat that we could develop into a LT. Would make a nice pick in the mid rounds so we wouldn't have to draft a LT high... if we were not to sign one via free agency.

Papz, if he can get healthy he could start at Left Tackle Now!

Every year we pick a wounded warrior in the draft. i think he is right up there on the short list in the fourth. There are a few nice wounded OT that are out there that may or may not be ready for 2013 but worth thinking a year on IR might just payoff big time.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board

Dion Jordan reminds me of former Dolphins DE Jason Taylor...

While he was a media darling and always had nice annual sack totals, those numbers often came in bunches (i.e. Will Smith) against lesser talent and he was never a game changer...

Further, both lacked bulk and would be a serious liability in run defense...

Jordan would be better as a 4-3 DE...
