jeanpierre, I'm gonna argue that WLB is set and it's the NT that ought to be in red. I liked your thought about Hicks bouncing between NT and DE, but we need one more pure NT to throw into the mix as Walker's not gonna cut it.

Agree we need more 3-4 DLine Bodies in the Rotation...gonna have to wait ANOTHER season to wait out the salary commitments on the books and at least two GOOD drafts...

I disagree, we need another NT, maybe another LB to round out a decent front 7.

Thats not gonna take 2 years to acquire. But you are correct that being so close to the cap that we have to score with our draft picks. We haven't drafted well for the last 5 years (still to early to judge 2012), which contributes to bouncing along the cap ceiling.

We need at least one more body with Bunkley and Hicks in a NT rotation - even with Hicks moved to End...

I'm not sold we have any Jack Linebackers other than maybe Martez that can rush the passer...

We're gonna need some depth as well for that front seven...

Well the red indicates concern, that's not to say it won't work out nicely...

We've got some people playing new positions and we will need to temper our enthusiasm accordingly...

Greer's money is guaranteed; he should be traded for a pass rusher to a team in need of a quality cornerback...

Greer wouldn't get us anything better than what we already have, and we'd have a hole at CB again.

Should Robinson do better in Ryan's scheme which by all indications will be a press-style coverage as opposed to a zone coverage which favors Greer's skill set, then Greer would be expendable...

Teams running a zone coverage system would need to be identified for depth at a position of need for the Saints - Why wouldn't value be found?!?

Wait; what?! Greer excelled in Williams man coverage defense, he looked totally lost in Spags zone last year. Greer has always been a better man cover corner...

If Greer looked lost, it had more to do with him not seeing the field that much...

Greer was frustrated with injuries this past year - i.e. sports hernia, pulled groin, and a concussion...

Greer is a fine defensive back, but his skill set, physical attributes, experience would be better suited to teams with zone coverage...

Teams that have run zone of late were 49ers, Steelers, Chiefs, Packers, Bears, Tampa, Colts, Vikings...

If we're looking for ways to increase the room under the salary cap - then explore creative ways and better fits for both the Saints and players who'd have better situations elsewhere...

And, without a doubt, Patrick Robinson has been given yet another opportunity to show he can be a success in this league with a new DC and scheme...

I for one have not been happy with the production of first round selections by the Saints...

The more i think about the less i see Smith on the hot seat. OLB? nah he will stay at DE IMO. plus cap carry over helps him out.

Harper is cap carry over safe plus Vacarro has yet to play

Strief i say IR safe. All our OT's have long iR history.

Jr. i still do not see how he fits in but the contract extension means some one thinks they have a plan.

Hartley i put as the #1 hot seat candidate. never the same after the hip injury

Will Herring and Chris Chamberlain
are on my hot seat list

I agree with Brown, Harper, Streif, and Smith.
With Galette, a guy that was injured much of last year and still came away with six sacks and just signed a three year deal, I see a promising future.

LOL ok all the back ups have been red shirted from injury or have a long history of returning injuries.

now Strief is a vet i am praying goes back to his healthy ways and pulls a full year.

i was so happy to draft an OT that was not a IR gamble for once in a long while.

during and after this year i hope we add some healthy depth to the OT

I fear we are in for a repeat of last year and think we might see it at both tackle spots this year. i hope we do not run out of OT

Well, limited with picks and then a trade that reduced an already slighted number...

And no cap room as we failed to release/renegotiate that horrible contract with Harper...

One of the reasons Stills was drafted, praised is because he's NFL ready? Guess we'll see; but if his straightaway speed, hands, route running is there - Lance will have his hands full...
