Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
I've been critical of Ingram so its nice to give the guy some props for a change. He did a great job last night. The O-line played well for a change which helped. But it was against the cowgirls who are both suffering thru lots of injuries and are a demoralized bunch. I hope this is the beginning of a trend and he continues to perform at a high level.

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Yes, but some people go off a game by game basis. For me its body of work, and last night was the only stand out game for me for the last 3 years.. Much like Hartley, my issue isn't just last nights miss, its compounded over the last 3 years.
I am over simplifying things but they are both in the same boat as far as I am concerned. Neither have managed to put a foot on the "reliability" train. I am not going to let cutting someone be much of a thought on one bad game, but i am also not going to think we should throw a 7 year contract off of one good game either. The honest truth for me is that Ingram is not playing to his pay rate, with an AVE'Sal of $1.8M he ranks 32nd in the league in terms of pay.. He has 9 more games this season to prove he is worth that money. |

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Until this point, some unfairly but mostly earned, Ingram hasn't played up to his talent, draft status, and college record. Part of that has been injuries. Part of that is scheme. Part of that is the talent at RB on the Saints. It is what it is. All of us as Saints fans should be happy with last night and hope it continues. When the Saints run the ball with success, they win. More often than not, they win easily. WHO DAT!

Been saying it for a while now ... He has the most entertaining 2 yard gains I've ever seen . It often takes 5+ guys to fully wrestle him down. This has been evident even in his worst statiscial games. Honestly had he been our primary back he would've rushed for over 200 yards easily ...

Most of them can go but a few are keepers.
New Orleans Saints Free Agents - 2014 I am a paid Spotrac-er and I didnt want weighted years so I went by ave salary. |

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Good on MI for having a great game last night.
There was 1 thing that I noticed, that I "think" was different. Most of Ingram's good/big runs came when he was running behind Collins. I don't recall a lot of Ingram's previous runs being with a FB in front. Now granted, due to my location I don't really get to watch a lot of Saints games, so I may be completely off base. |
