Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Only thing I will point out is earlier in the year when KRob ran well against a dolphins D some people brought up that their D was worn down but others didn't want to hear that but when Ingram runs well it's a worn down cowboy defense. One other point is Ingram had a better game against Dallas than AP did the previous week and no I'm not saying Ingram is even equal to AP, just pointing out that he had a better game against the same terrible dallas D.

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
I want to believe last night was not a magic show but my eyes tell me that if it happens again this week, or anything remotely close to it, Benson put David Copperfield on retainer. His next performance isn't until 21NOV at the MGM Grand so we could in fact be in for a special treat!

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Trade him now!
His Value Will Never Be Higher! Seriously, glad to see him FINALLY have a decent game for the trade and first round package spent to obtain his contractual rights, but... Dallas didn't have their starting inside tackles and lost their middle linebacker... The question is, can he finish through the season, post-season with games like this? That's the challenge before him, and though he's been a bust for the Saints, as a Saints fan... I would be happy in his success because it would be success for the Team... And I'm on record as saying that the DECISION to draft him was a bad one, not that he's a bad player or man... So you SENSITIVE Bama-types can relax and geaux back to your drunken orgy post-LSU whoopin party... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
I have a question.... Its non-asuming so i am just looking for thoughts.
Given what i saw of Ingram's runs on Sunday against Dallas... Who is out punch it in power back? We seem to pile up on the Sproles type backs and never really get a powerhouse 1-3 yard back that can carry a pile. So, did Ingram prove he can run better or did he prove he is the same as we already have a few times over, and did that hurt his value to this team? The most powerful back we have is PT and while he is strong and stout I do not see him as carrying the pile. Collins is a FB but he has yet to prove he can get anything done. Sproles is not a power back. Robinson may not see the playing field again unless Ingram gets hurt. When we are on the 3 yard line against SF or Seattle, who are you going to with confidence to punch it in? |

I'm giving it to PT. |

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Fair answer and what I would do also. However isn't that the roll we drafted Ingram for and who we consistently give the ball to for those plays?

I think we just wanted a good RB on the team since at the time we drafted him we didn't have a healthy one anywhere on the roster. |

Move to Atlanta.
If you can't be loyal to your own team, don't be anything. Just move to a lame place such as Detroit, Dallas or Atlanta. Loyalty proves honor, RIGHT? I'm glad our team hung in with Ingram. I'm glad P Thomas took him under his wing and showed loyalty to a team mate. Perhaps that'll teach SOME of you a thing or two about honor and loyalty. Two Dat. Dance with the one who brung ya. Good Job Ingram! |
