Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
It seems as though we ran less zone blocking, or perhaps none at all. Ill give props to Mark Ingram as it is due to him, but as others have said 1 good performance in 3 years doesn't take you off the bust list.
Props to the o-line play. Good game from Ingram, now lets see more of that. |

He looked great but he needs to do it over a extended period before I am willing to say he is not a bust.

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
Yup...Collins didn't have nearly as many blocking "WHIFF!"s last night than in previous games. This made a significant difference, even before Lee went out with the hammy. The boy has simply looked lost on who to block previously, but he got it together last night instead of taking up roster space. He must have finally cracked open the play book and paid attention in the meetings.

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
I didnt notice the blocking scheme... Someone with a better grasp of Xs and Os would have to rewatch the game with that in mind... If so thats another huge ordeal as we have changed blocking schemes and the ground game would be back for good... More so than chalking it up to the Cowgirls paltry defense.

I just don't think he fits with this offense. Everyone was running well yesterday, and the Oline was making holes. Ingram can run just like anyone else through an open hole but hell even I can. Its getting those tough yards and creating plays where there isnt one that separates the real backs.
Game ball goes to him IMO |

He ran great and I'm thrilled with that, but he still looks top-heavy to me. That high center of gravity makes him too easy to bring down.

Re: NEW Mark Ingram thread (post Dallas)
I take back all the mean things I said about him...for now. Let's see if he can keep it up next week against the 49ers. I will say, that I was impressed with the OLine for creating blocks for all of our RBs last night. Let's see if they can keep it up as well.
