We just gotta see who drops.... Im lovin Justin Gilbert... but it doesn't seem like he would drop to us....

1. Calvin Pryor is getting my vote so far...........

And is this guy gonna be there after round two...... He's 6'3.... there's another 6'3 corner who will probably be a later selection the Baptiste.... Keith McGill CB Utah!!!!

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

My #1 is Ra'Shede Hageman DT Minnesota can play multiple positions up-front and commands alot of double teams which will be needed switching to a 3-4. I also liked 2 other players 1 Justin Gilbert OK. State I don't think will be there when we picked the other was Kyle Van Noy OLB BYU, I would really like to get this guy but in the 2nd I went with need before want.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

Mayock said yesterday that Keith McGill reminds him of Richard Sherman. 6-3 with long arms and a knack for getting to the ball. He'll climb but maybe not too high for the Saints to have shot.

"The tallest corner is Utah's Keith McGill, who measured 6-3 and 214 pounds at Monday's weigh-in. NFL Media draft analyst Mike Mayock said Tuesday on NFL Network that McGill looks like a combination of Seattle's cornerback duo of Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman "

i think it is a reach in round 1 were we are draft. not a bad one though.

trade back into the top of round 2 and roll the dice he is there. might be tempting.

i have sold this kid big time but that might a bold and very rewarding move if the saints did pull it off.

key here is the analysts and i hope the scouts are under selling the ability he has to play inside in the box. not that you want him there because drew is so short but if needed just like with LT he can fill in in a pinch if asked.

i think people will be very surprised with his drills and splits at the combine. he has a shot to put up overall number to listed near or the top 5 of all the OL there.

as long as he is peg as a RT only player then there is a good chance a gamble into the top of round 2, get a few additional picks and get the your guy ie Moses would be a thing of beauty.

but reach and take him i could live with it but i would be holding my breath till season opener.

been years since the saints had good bookend OT
Online scouting services reports say this guy is taking it to another level; some guys are like that, they play to the level in front of 'em...

I thought he'd be there in round 3; but scouts are moving him up the boards based on his coming out party in Mobile this week...

If Mayock is commenting on defensive players, I'm definitely listening. His analysis has been pretty solid on a lot of NFL prospects. I remember he was quoted as saying... "I think he's (LUKE KIECHLY) the best pure zone drop pass linebacker I've ever seen on tape". Boy o boy was he right.

Would love to get Gilbert; really early mocks had him available or just before us; he's all the way up to the pick 10-12 range now...

Like Jean Baptiste, but he needs some coaching; been reading up on Pierre Desir who's starting to separate from the talent pool; if we pick 'em in the second round and pair him with Keenan Lewis - pretty lethal...

Will watch the Reese's Senior Bowl; Bucannon has disappointed this week with the level of talent - really liked his portfolio until he disappointed this week with his coverage skills; had enough of Safeties that can't cover...

Now that Pryor has declared as Junior, it'd be interesting to see if he fell to us; copycat league thing and Seattle's success will have many teams picking defensive backs early...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
