My argument against that is the one presented to me by Oak, I believe. You bet the house on the player who can immediately come in and give you three or four more wins in that first season. I have to say that if that description doesn't fall squarely on the toe of a kicker, nothing does. We always remember that last second FG that was either made or missed, but it goes much farther than that. What about the FG that was missed early on in the game that would've made the difference between needing seven or three in the final minutes? It happens a lot. With the exception of our O Line, we are in really good shape with the players returning from injuries and our FA acquisitions. Especially on defense. The one glaring hole, that missing premier player is our place kicker. Why would we want someone mediocre to fill that slot? It'd be like drafting another shoulder tackler.

; Your story isn't over yet ;

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

the kicking game does worry me. i watched more on the kid from Rice. line drive kicker. NFL DL will eat him up unless he corrected it.

still trying to get more on the kid from tulane.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

here is one for you TE/HB/ST/LB

TE BLAKE ANNEN CINCINNATI
Height 6041
Weight 241
Arm Length 33"
Hands 9 7/8"
40 4.41
20 2.52
10 1.61
cones 7.19
shuttle 4.30
Vert 34
Broad 10'00"
Bench 25

Scrappy in-line blocker -- gets in the way. Possesses the vertical speed to stretch the field. loaded with upside and possesses raw, moldable traits to become a solid NFL contributor in a "move" role.

Does not play to timed speed. Lacks polish

one years starter.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft

I just read that players get to choose their own 'walk out' music for when they're picked this year. I don't know if that's cool or absurd. Definitely gonna make it even more of a circus that's for sure.

I can see it now... Mel Kiper yelling "TODD TODD TODD TODD TODD" while some smart-ass tries to be funny and walk out to 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus... Ugh.

Hopefully Clowney comes out to the Ultimate Warriors music and gorilla presses Goodell and launches him into the front row
