I dont think you can take a rookie and sit him 3-4 years these days. With the new rookie pay scale it would be a massive mistake imo. You need to make the most of having a QB on a rookie deal to bring in the vets to help him. The Colts got really lucky that Luck(no pun intended) fell to them as Manning was nearing the end. If you want Bridgewater i think you can tell him he will sit for a year, max 2 years and still have 3 years on the rookie deal

Re: 2014 NFL Draft
Teddy Bridgewater is the only QB IMO that is a first round talent. even then i have ranked at the end of the first top of the second
so thats my BPA question . if we did take a QB i hope it is a ransom situation If i were to pick one to sit and develop It would pick between Carr or Zach Sleeper UDFA? Brett Smith QB Wyoming 6'2" 205 4.51 completed 62.6 percent of his passes for 3,375 yards. He threw 29 TDs and and 11 interceptions. In three seasons, Smith threw 76 TDs and only 28 picks. He's accurate, consistent, durable and a pretty good arm. I still believe SP has his goal set already with the kid from Tulane The average yearly salary for a player selected in the first round of the 2013 draft was $2,776,787.70. In 2010, the last year of the old collective bargaining agreement, the average yearly salary for a player selected in the first round was $4,848,126.25. Re: 2014 NFL Draft
I've never seen this ESPN show Draft Academy before... Where the hell have I been?! Pierre Desir is looking pretty damn good to me now. He'd fit in considering we already have a Haitian from a small school by the name of Junior Goddamn Galette.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft
I really like Desir as well. Small school prospect that is getting overlooked. He'd be a first rounder IMO if he went to a division 1 school.
