To me he is all or nothing and to draft him and he fail would set the D back badly.
I wasn't sold on him either, but I've watched some YouTube videos on him and read some analysis and I'm coming around (plus Beasley had already been selected in my draft). He won the Paul Hornung award for most versatile player in the nation, which Odell won last year. Read that he's a team player and great locker room guy, plus great athleticism (played OLB, ILB, Safety and RB last year). Fast, very good in coverage and a student of the game... I've read. All things we want to hear about regarding a football player. And if he's as versatile as they say, Rob Ryan should be able to put him in positions to be successful. If we drafted him, I wouldn't be mad

Anthony in the sixth, not gonna happen...

He's definitely a third rounder, possibly second round, and that's pre-combine...

Fanspeak needs to add:

DE Lynden Trail, Norfolk State (Sr); 6' 7", 260 lbs
OL Cole Manhart, Nebraska-Kearney, (Sr); 6' 5", 304 lbs

to the draftee dBase...

Re: 2015 draft??

ok lets compromise here

OLB SHAQ THOMPSON WASHINGTON

CB MARCUS PETERS WASHINGTON
slide stops here Rob swears he can keep the kid in line. job is on the line now

ILB STEPHONE ANTHONY CLEMSON

OT ROB HAVENSTEIN WISCONSIN 6'7" 332 5.39
here is my compromise for RT, typical Wisconsin lineman

OT TAYO FABULUJE TCU 6'7" 335 5.03
Jumbo set OT that can do some fill in at DT also.

RANNEL HALL CFU SR 6005 200 4.45
WR/KR/RB does anything you ask of him and produces.

round 7?
OL Cole Manhart, Nebraska-Kearney, (Sr); 6' 5", 304 lbs
John Crockett - RB - North Dakota State
works for me

Re: 2015 draft??

More draft analysis has Shaq Thompson playing a SS Joey Browner (aka Kam Chancelor role)...

With the personnel we currently have under contract, that may mean Kenny Vaccaro and Shaq Thompson would be up for the same role...

Nice ... competition would be a good thing for Kenny.

To get those would be steals. Are the 2 backs for ground and pound? I like both. What to do with the O-line, will Grubbs and Evans hold up or do we need some youth on the front line? A major trade could fix all of our needs!!

Regarding the offensive line...

First, would be before free agency getting resolution on contracts for Galette, Brees, Colston, Evans, Grubbs, Hawthorne...

Second, in free agency, sign two of these three and you've immediately got one of the best and youngest lines in the NFL...

G Clint Boling, Cincinnati (Georgia); 6' 5", 311 lbs., age 25

C/G Stefen Wisniewski, Oakland (Penn State); 6' 3", 307 lbs, age 25

C Rodney Hudson, Kansas City (Florida State); 6' 2", 299 lbs., age 25

Third, now you can draft development projects with later round picks, using your premium picks on defense where you'd see your greatest impact...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
