Awwww i was wondering if there was any way to make winning the south any more of a joke than it already would be.

Then McKinney it would be.

I still want my second

CB Kevin Johnson Wake Forest

I truly believe he can step in day one and take over the #2 opposite of Lewis.

The only reason that was fresh on my mind is because PFT had an article the other day about how the winner of the NFC South would be losers come draft day because they'd be picking lower than lots of teams with better records.

No doubt however if you look around the league, some of the best LB's didn't play their college ball in the mighty SEC. Luke Kiechly, LaVonte David, Bobby Wagner, Jamie Collins, Bowman (when healthy) etc. Saints need to be looking high and low for a stud LB, not specifically SEC schools.

There are so many unpolished diamonds out there at LB, we just need to do a better job of scouting these guys.

Re: 2015 draft??

- i still have a solid man cover CB or two at the top of the wish list. For the biggest bang for the buck this team would improve the most with a CB that does not demand safety help the entire game. got some really nice #2 CB prospects in this draft IMO. It would free the safeties up to support elsewhere.

- RT needs a hit for sure. It is right up there with CB. Speed rushers off both ends by the elite defenses in the NFL are killing us. I love Streif but I think the the style of defense played today in the NFL is just a bit to focused on stopping the passer and wears him down. as veteran swing man in the backup role he has a few years left in him. which would be huge upgrade to what we have now and would buy us some time.

La'el Collins game reminds me of Streif style. But I do like his size and the flex option he offers of sliding into the guard position when we are ready for a changing of the guard inside. Ty Sambrailo also offer us that flexibility

- K.J. Wright is dream pick up for the off season. I want his clone if he resigns with seattle. that is why i am watching Nate Orchard so closely

Then i ponder moving Harilson into the middle, who with out a doubt is our best all around LB. but can he man the middle. i think he could. possibly? maybe?

We can get all three in the first 3 rounds i think,

"We may have lost the game, but you'll be hurting tomorrow." Doug Atkins

Re: 2015 draft??

I'd like to see La'el Collins in the first round. Put him next to Terron Armstead and the keft side of the line would be amazing. Kenny Hilliard in the 6th or 7th would be great unless we could get Hilliard as a free agent. How can the Saints be one of the only NFL teams with no LSU payers? After Cooks last year our draft was terrible. We could've drafted Jarvis Landry and Ego Ferguson last year. Both currently are solid starters at need positions.

Re: 2015 draft??

I'd like not to draft a cornerback with an early round pick because our talent evaluators seem incapable of making the right selection...

The only success we've had was in free agency periods which I'd prefer that route regarding cornerback, having a proven commodity...

I'd like to see us focus on the front lines, offensive and defense (front seven) - we no longer control nor or tough enough on the lines...

this is not like last year. we can go into the second with some solid CB still on the board. I do not see a reach like last year with this group.

Re: 2015 draft??

Latest draft

Round 1: Vic Beasley - OLB - Clemson
- stud at a position of need, that's all

Round 2: TJ Cummings - OT - Pittsburgh
- fell to our spot in round 2. Strief is getting up there and we could use a new bookend across from Armstead coming up, tho Strief is still reliable.

Round 3: Tre Jackson - OG - Florida State
- mammoth OG, mauler in the run game. Good in pass protection, but not great. But he can get there! He can replace Grubbs or Evans, then we'd have four guys in the Oline 25 years old or under

Round 4: Kevin Johnson - CB - Wake Forrest
- smaller school for D1 big boys. Last two seasons has had 25 PBUs and 6 INTs. Read some nice things and figured in the 4th, he'd be a good pick and it's an area of need for us

Round 5: Josh Shaw - CB - USC
- was suspended most the season due to lying about hurting his leg (said he jumped out a window to save his drowning nephew or something). He gets his hands on a lot of balls and is value in the 5th

Round 6: AJ Johnson - ILB - Tennessee
- was thrilled he fell this far. Stud MLB who is all over the field. Just get the job done

Round 7: Ray Drew - DE - Georgia
- some Dline depth, tho we have a lot of young talent at the DE position as it is
