Yeah, the media jumping all over the Saints for the deal as Graham is the highlights player. Fair trade all round. both team should be happy as long as the players stay fit

Re: Saints Trade Graham to the Seahawks
Why trade him when they could've got a 1st and at least fifth rd pick last year? Now trade him for a 1st that might as well be a second rd pick and trade a 4th rd pick for a oft injured player when we have Tim Lelito on the roster has me puzzled. It didn't solve the cap, its not a definite answer at center and its not really a 1st rd pick when you're only 2 draft picks away from the second.
I AM PRAYING WE DRAFT BETTER THAN LAST YEAR OR WE WILL BE SAYING BYE TO THE BEST COACH THE SAINTS EVER HAD |

Re: Saints Trade Graham to the Seahawks
I dont think its hate, more than the normal people looking on the bright side of the deal. I think the concern are there that Jimmy wont have a long career with the new tackl rules and players taking out his legs. If your in Seattle you are saying we got rid of close to a second rounder and a centre that is starting to break down for a probowl TE.Its natural we did good

Re: Saints Trade Graham to the Seahawks
Sometimes I wonder if we have people in this forum that work with the saints PR to always try to make something positive out of something that don't make sense. Of course I am always going to be pulling for my saints but dayum, I don't want to go back to the days of being the butt of all jokes or not having a decent come back to all the haters. This don't make sense, JG was injured and still suiting up to play often as decoy. If you going to trade him why trade him to a team we will most likely have to face in the playoffs and make them stronger,,surely 16 teams in the AFc would' ve love to make that trade and 15 of them would've given us a higher draft pick than 31 overall pick

I don't see this as anyone hating on Jimmy, either. People are just realizing that we have bigger needs and something major had to happen. All this restructuring crap we do every year gets us nowhere. Now we free up Graham's cap space, plus the player and draft pick we got in return. A proven commodity and a 1st rounder is better than two first rounders, neither of which are proven. That's what makes this a good deal. The only thing I don't like is that he's with the Seahawks, but as critical as I've been of our front office in recent years, I honestly don't think they would have traded him to THAT team without exploring all other options first. The most suitable return just ended up being the hags. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
