Junior beat the tackles pretty consistently, but because Hicks was invisible all season the QB had tons of time and space to step up in the pocket. |

There was a myriad of inconsistencies with the defense last year.
I'd stop short of saying Jr should be traded away. He's obviously one of the top 5 rushers in the NFL. |

I'd agree Hicks was the biggest disappointment along the D-line, followed by Jordan and Jenkins. |

Re: Saints 23, Tampa 20
the whole line blew chunks. there was no rush, I remember just sitting there and watching as we got no push whatsoever. Wish I understood the coaches love affair with Cam because I don't. Outside of 13 what's the guy done? He's a **** bag. Now he will play lights out since it is a contract year and then after the big contract he'll go back to medium effort. Here is an idea, when he plays his ass off first few games of this year go ahead and trade him for a first rounder before we get nothing for **** bags, or run him into the ground this year and let him get his big contract during FA next year and **** the bed with that team

Your team stinks

Re: Saints 23, Tampa 20
What is Gallette's job? To rush the QB and get sacks, last I checked he rarely did either last year and was a headache this offseason. That's strike 3 in my book so I really don't care what "they" decide to do with him. If he's on the team next season then I'll cheer for him like I always have just I wouldn't get your hopes up that he's going to take the league by storm though

Sacks are a by-product of the rush that is dependent upon the secondary not constantly blowing coverage and the rest of the defensive line giving a modicum of pressure themselves. Did he do his job? I would say yes based upon being second place in the entire NFL in QB hurries which is a far better barometer of success by a pass rusher than sacks alone.

we can all just agree to disagree on JG last season, I just didn't see what you guys did. Salary did not equal production that's for sure

Doesn't mean they're bad players. I have a feeling Junior will have a freaking monster season in 2015. |
