I think you're dead on with the grades but I wouldn't have been as generous to Bill Johnson.
I think the improvement in the D-line this season has been more about personnel than it has coaching. My idea of a good coach is someone that makes the whole greater than the sum of it's parts. A couple times this season I've thought one unit or another played above there heads; The secondary considering the injuries, The O-line, considering the shambles they were in preseason, the wide outs, considering their inexperience... I don't think I've ever thought that once about the D-line going all the way back to when Johnson joined the Saints. |
