You've got to admit last year has looked better than the previous seven or so.

Right, so we've finally come to some agreement.

My sticking point in this particular case, is it didn't seem like the appropriate time to take a shot. But they did, so it's in the books now. Time to start looking forward.

By default, I suppose. I actually felt good about several picks last year, unlike years past. But I just haven't seen much from anyone outside of Anthony and Kikaha, in actual games.

I also like some of the picks this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how they progress.

Re: Underwhelmed

I feel quite underwhelmed too, there were 3 guards on the board when the Saints traded into the 4th and they take a DT from Canada. Did they forget they have a HoF QB to protect?

Seems like every year the Saints swing and miss in the draft or they out think themselves.

He conveniently alters it to last year to somehow remove the argument that (and we don't know about last year yet) 3 of the last 4 drafts have not been very good at all.

I am not saying this draft won't produce four really good players, but i can say that I am not sold on Rankins and thought the move back to the 4rth for the Nigerian Canuck doesn't seem to be a good one. Hope they are all good, hope I eat my words, but you can voice your displeasure, that is what the site is for
Yeah, Tull was the other guy along with Williams who didn't play. I forgot about Swann before you mentioned him. That was another who showed flashes, but those concussions made it hard to form a strong opinion.

Re: Underwhelmed

I will agree about hicks , they loved him to start the words were hes a monster hell make the difference then the injury, then hes hampered by nagging injuries and when he got clear of injury he got lazy taking off plays , then the trade for hoohiahamma that made us a better tight end set.

But were any of guards as good as one we can still get.
