Look I'll gladly eat my words if I'm wrong I would also hope that you would eat yours if you're wrong We agree to disagree but I have seen nothing that makes me think what I believe is wrong. If you are proven wrong I would hope That someday you would learn to stop looking through the black and gold spectacles On occasion. I think its pretty clear our main problem has been fielding one of the worst defenses in NFL history for the past several years. |

Re: PFF: Basically Saints Fans are FOS, 'Offensive Line Is Very Good, And Has The Potential To Be Great.'
Danno, I don't know how many times we have to have this argument on here. Throwing the ball 50 times a game will always yield big yards. But it also leads to interceptions and sacks/sack fumbles. And at the end of the day we aren't putting up more than 25 a game, which is about average for a half decent offense now. The offensive ranking is extremely hollow.
The question was about the offensive line, not where we rank in yards. The defense rightfully takes a lot of the blame. There have been ten thousand threads about that. This team has been bottom of the league in rushing, gives up tons of pressures, and just doesn't sustain enough drives, particularly in the biggest games. They can still feast when going against defenses ranked in the lower half. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

I just want to point out that what people are saying about our offense last year is not true. It took some time for our offense to improve and in the beginning there was a lot of complaining about how we couldn't move the ball and kept throwing screens and short passes. Also, some of the yards we gained were during garbage time when the opposing team went into prevent, but that said let me add some proof to my claim about the first few weeks:
19,19,22,26,17. Those are the points we scored in the first 5 games |
Your team stinks

That said, I hope I'm wrong and I hope we go all the way and shut my chubby azz up! |

Oh I agree the defense is a huge problem but that's a entirely different discussion we are talking offensive line and how bad they are. Yes I totally agree the defense has been awful which leads to slot of garbage time stats that inflate the offenses stats
