I hope he shows something at camp & good luck . |

The PED list contains all substances that are not legal or alcohol related. They include several items that are permissible with a TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption).
My bet is that Ingram thought the TUE had been properly submitted by his agent (who should be the person responsible) and was then hit with the test that showed the medication he thought was pre-approved. That would explain why he fired his agent and pursued the appeal. Not because he has taken the medication, but because he thought it had been approved. No doubt he would lose that appeal, but it would explain everything to this point. Once the written decision is released they could appeal the length of the suspension itself, NOT the earlier ruling. As for the success on appealing the suspension, it is rather common that they get reduced based upon circumstances. I think you are getting confused with the appeal of the test results which rarely get overturned. |

Re: Mark Ingram Suspended Four Games(Update: Appeal denied)
Have you read anything about this yet or just going off a headline or two? Of course he knows what he's allowed to do. The agent says they know the substance that triggered the positive test is on the banned list, but they are also saying it is included in the substances that are permissible. As I just stated, it appears that Ingram's prior agent screwed up and Ingram prbably thought he'd had permission. That would explain his firing his agent and appealing the test. If this is the way things went down Ingram could have grounds to sue his prior agent.

Products such as hair growth and fertility treatments are also banned but can be exempted. Given the fact that he just fathered his third child the first could be the culprit. He might have been trying to get rid of that balding spot.

Its still no excuse but I think that hopes are so high people are scared something could happen to mess the season up and this happens. I hope he wins.

Re: Mark Ingram Suspended Four Games(Update: Appeal denied)
He is absolutely suspended. For how long may still be a question. And what the cause of the failed test was is also relevant. As I mentioned before, using Rogaine to help grow back a bald spot isn't quite as severe as taking powerful horse steroids, yet both are banned substances. The first can be exempted, however. The second cannot.
