this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I’m happy we made the move and trust staff that he’s the right fit. Besides I’m sure Payton and Co did their research during his draft process anyway....

Re: Giants trading Eli Apple to saints
PFF has him rated as the 55th best CB, Crawley is at 105th for comparison.

I don't really care for this trade.

Re: Giants trading Eli Apple to saints
If he's average at CB we are good. This could end up being huge. We didn't lose The Crawley so we didn't get any worse...it either improves or remains the same

Re: Giants trading Eli Apple to saints
That's true, but I feel like we could have gotten someone better for the same price. I think we made a bad talent evaluation here. I hope I'm wrong.

This could be the best tandem we have had at CB in the history of SP. If he does workout this could boost us to the SB |

Re: Giants trading Eli Apple to saints
I'm glad to see they recognized a weakness and went out to find a solution! I'm hoping for the best here, as I was not high on him after watching a few highlights from the Falcons game last night. Let's hope Aaron Glenn can show him a few tricks and DA scheme is a good fit. Got to be better than our current weak link.
